Songwriter Workshop: Santa Cruz

Steve Gillette wrote "Darcy Farrow" and hundreds of other great songs -- his works have been recorded by Garth Brooks, John Denver, Nanci Griffith, Waylon Jennings, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers and other A-list singers.

Gillette and his wife, singer songwriter Cindy Mangsen were at Bernie's last year and Craig and I thoroughly enjoyed their songs and storytelling. The two of them are hosting a songwriting workshop in Santa Cruz in March. Read the details at their website.

Songwriting in Big Sur

A few months ago, Craig and I enjoyed a show at Bernie's -- Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen. Gillette and Mangsen are songwriters of the storytelling, folk tradition - Steve wrote "Darcy Farrow" and a host of other clever, insightful songs.

They're organizing a weekend Songwriting Workshop in Big Sur next March. The price is very reasonable ($125) and the setting couldn't be lovelier. The details are available on their website
