For Lyle Lovett fans...

Lyle Lovett is one of my all-time favorites. There are only a handful of singer-songwriters that I happily pay high prices to see, and he's at the top of the list.

This article-interview from The Aspen Times pretty much sums up why:

Lyle Lovett plays Wheeler

Enjoy.

Thanks for the link, Erin. I'm crazy about Lyle. Seen him in concert five times, including in the Santa Fe rain at Paolo Soleri (twice). Once he scolded some nearby potsmokers and left the stage until they were gone. He's always authentic, always excellent and always inspiring. I can't think of any other big name I'd go see twice, much less over and over. But he's an exceptional writer and musician.

He is something else - I love the way he says: "This is a song I made up" and then launches into one of his incredibly witty tunes.
No pretention - no over-blown sense of ego - just a little something he wanted to share. He lets the song do its job - I appreciate that.
